Print Journalism

Each course has its associated number of credits in order to graduate.

One-year Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Broadcast, Print, and Multimedia Journalism: In order to receive the diploma, the student must obtain a total of 34 credits for Print, Broadcast or Multimedia, and complete the core courses including advanced area seminars and advanced concentration seminars, electives, media workshops and a master's thesis project.

One-year Diploma in Broadcast, Print, and Multimedia Journalism: In order to receive the diploma, the student must obtain a total of 32 credits for Print, Broadcast or Multimedia, and complete the required core courses, media workshops electives.

IIJNM has a grading system of continuous assessment. Weekly assignments are evaluated and progress status is determined. Midway through each semester, instructors evaluate and brief students on their progress. If the faculty determines that a student is not making satisfactory academic progress, the student may be given a written warning and told to catch up by the end of semester. An advisor may be assigned to help the student overcome his or her difficulties. In more serious instances, a student may be suspended or dismissed from the Institute. Everyone is expected to adhere to IIJNM's policies on conduct and discipline.
